Overview

Aaron’s Gourmet prepares products fresh to order and ships perishable items using expedited delivery methods designed to preserve quality, safety, and freshness. Please review this Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

Shipping Methods

Carrier: Orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air.

Shipping Cost: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on package weight, box dimensions, destination, insurance, and handling requirements.

Estimated Weights: Because meats are cut to order, product weights are estimates and may vary slightly. Final charges may reflect the actual packed weight.

Pricing & Market Conditions

Due to natural market volatility in food and meat pricing, product prices may fluctuate. Aaron’s Gourmet reserves the right to adjust pricing within a reasonable range prior to shipment when necessary due to supplier cost changes or market conditions.

Order Processing & Shipping Schedule

Processing Time: Please allow two full business days for order preparation before shipment for standard orders. Larger orders, custom cuts, or orders placed during peak demand periods may require additional processing time. Processing time does not include weekends, holidays, or non-shipping days, and orders generally will not ship sooner than 48 hours after being placed, regardless of selected ship date.

Shipping Days: Orders ship Monday through Wednesday only.

Products may be flash frozen and chill packed prior to shipment to maintain food safety and product integrity.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping refers to expedited order preparation, not a faster carrier service. UPS Next Day is the fastest available shipping method, and expedited shipping does not change the carrier speed.

Expedited shipping may allow us to prioritize preparation of an order and, when approved, may result in delivery up to one business day earlier than standard processing. Availability depends on order size, order complexity, timing, and current production capacity.

Expedited shipping is not guaranteed and must be requested by the customer at checkout using the designated request field. A fee applies to this service. The applicable expedited shipping fee will be displayed on the cart page and, if approved, will be added onto the order invoice after the order is placed. The price of the fee is subject to change.

After an order is placed, it enters standard preparation while the expedited shipping request is reviewed for approval, which is typically completed within 24 hours.

If the expedited request is approved:

  • The customer will receive an email requesting approval of an updated order total, reflecting the expedited shipping charge added as a line item.
  • The expedited shipping charge is only applied if the request is approved and the updated charge is accepted by the customer. If the request is not approved or the updated charge is not accepted, the order will proceed under standard processing timelines.

Tracking & Delivery Notifications

Once your order ships, tracking information will be provided. Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking updates and ensuring timely retrieval of their delivery.

Delivery Timing & Delays

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to weather, carrier interruptions, holidays, rural delivery locations, or other events beyond our control.

While most orders arrive the next business day, delivery may occasionally extend to two or three days.

Receiving Your Order & Food Safety

Perishable Products: We strongly recommend that an adult be available to receive the delivery.

Shipper Release: Packages may be delivered without a signature and left at the delivery address.

Customer Responsibility: Once delivery occurs, responsibility for the package transfers to the customer. Customers must either wait for or arrange for someone to receive a shipped order. Once an order is shipped, someone must be present to receive the delivery, even if it arrives later than the scheduled time due to UPS delays.

Upon delivery:

  • Refrigerate or freeze items immediately.
  • Products may arrive partially frozen or cool to the touch, which is normal for insulated perishable shipments.
  • Packages should be retrieved as soon as possible after delivery and should not be left outside for extended periods.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information at checkout.

  • Address changes or corrections may result in additional fees and delivery delays.
  • Carrier address corrections may incur additional charges.
  • Aaron’s Gourmet is not responsible for delays, losses, or spoilage resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information.

Shipping Availability & Destination Limitations

Shipping availability, delivery times, and shipping options may vary by destination and product type and will be presented at checkout. We may be unable to ship to certain address types or locations.

Shipping Guarantee

Orders are packed to withstand up to 68 hours in transit under normal conditions.

If your order is not delivered within this timeframe, please contact us through the Contact Us form on our website as soon as possible. We may request supporting information, including photos of the packaging and contents, and your order number, to evaluate the issue.

If appropriate, we will work with the carrier to pursue a claim and determine a resolution, which may include a refund or reshipment at our discretion.

Reporting Delivery Issues

If there is an issue with your delivery, please contact us promptly through the Contact Us form and include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the shipping box and contents
  • A brief description of the issue

Delays in reporting may affect our ability to assist.

Cancellations & Returns

Because all products are prepared specifically to order:

  • Orders cannot be canceled once processing begins.
  • Returns of perishable items are subject to inspection and approval.
  • Fees may apply as permitted by law.
