Third-Party Courier (Local Delivery)
Last updated: January 25, 2026
Aaron’s Gourmet may offer a third-party courier pickup option for local delivery. This service is facilitated indirectly through third-party platforms such as Uber and is subject to availability.
How the Process Works
- The customer selects the third-party courier pickup option at checkout, enters the delivery address, and selects a preferred ready-by date and time window.
- After the order is placed, it enters standard preparation. Once the order is ready, the customer will receive an email notification indicating that the order is prepared for pickup.
- After receiving this notification, the customer is responsible for scheduling a third-party courier (such as Uber) to pick up the order from our store within the selected time window.
Fees and Responsibility
- A third-party courier service fee will be applied to the order and displayed at checkout.
- This fee covers coordination and handling related to the courier pickup option, as well as costs associated with packaging your order in a cooler bag or box to withstand transit. This fee does not include the cost of the third-party courier service itself.
- Any fees charged by Uber or another courier service are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Courier Coordination
Customers are required to provide us with the courier pickup details, such as estimated arrival time and courier name, as soon as reasonably possible after scheduling the pickup, so we can coordinate a smooth handoff.
Transfer of Responsibility
Responsibility for the order transfers to the customer once the order is released to the third-party courier. Aaron’s Gourmet is not liable for delays, damage, spoilage, theft, or mishandling that occur after handoff.
All orders are placed in an insulated bag or box to withstand a short transit time.
